Hi, I’m Alex Tyson, CEO of Found—Space.

My journey began in my early 20s, working in my family’s business, iHealth Saunas. Originally a reseller, we evolved into a leading brand, setting new standards for sauna quality and customer service in Australia. We continue to support thousands of people around the country who love their iHealth saunas.

Through this work, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact our saunas had on people’s lives—helping those with chronic illnesses and improving sleep, mobility, and overall well-being. It was then I realised we weren’t just selling saunas; we were transforming lives.

This realisation sparked my passion for personal growth and a deep dive into health and wellness. Around this time, there was more and more clinical research emerging about the benefits of saunas and this idea of hormesis or hormetic stress where exposing the body to different stressors triggers a biological adaptation that makes you stronger and more resilient. Hormesis explains the benefits of exercise, fasting, heat or cold therapy and even certain nutrients. I became fascinated by the work of Prof. David Sinclair, Paul Taylor, Wim Hof, Dr Rhonda Patrick and the many researchers and clinicians who were ushering in a new way of thinking about health and wellness.

As CEO in 2021, I led a rebranding of the company to better reflect our mission. Found—Space represents the physical, mental, and spiritual space we all need to connect, nurture, and recharge ourselves. Our goal is to help people create sustainable routines and lifestyle changes that lead to better health, more energy, and a greater quality of life.
